and I can safely safe, Capcom has truly out done themselves this time. Capcom has revamped everything, from the weapons to the Monsters you fight. Up until Monster Hunter 3, the Monster Hunter games have more less been the same game with minor changes such as a new area or a few new monsters, however, in MH3 capcom has changed all that.
Monsters: As I mentioned a few months ago with the monsters Quru Pecco, Dos-Jagie, Boublos, and Lagicrus are not the only new mosters. I will list some more new ones, but bare with me, I'm using the Japanese names and they have way to many unnecessary U's.
Chanagaburu: A large anger fish like monster that lives in the sunken forest and attack by blending into it's surroundings and ambushes it's prey. It can also draw you in with it's "vacuum breath" and clamp down with it's massive mouth. Species wise, it's either a sea serpent or a piscine. Also lives in the swamp area as well.
Roarudorosu: A medium sized sea serpent that also lives in the sunken forest. It can easily be identified by it's large mane, which acts like a sponge to hold water which allows it to move around on land. Can also be fought in the revamped forest and hills and swamp.
Dos-Bagi: Much like Dos-Jagie, he/she (it's either a male or female but hard to tell because unlike Dos-Jagie, it doesn't have any sex specific features) is the leader of it's pack and lives in the snowy mountain. It stands out as it's eyes glow in the dark, and has the ability to put the player to sleep with it's claws.
Uragankin: A Theropod monster with a large chin and a powerful roar. Can roll up into a ball and roll down smooth surfaces at extreme speed. Seems to be related to Boublos.
Belilos: A Pseudo-Wyvern related to Tigrex, and Nargacuga. Attacks include the usual bites, claw attacks and tail whips. It can also shoot a blast of icy cold air in the shape of a twister. Has special claws that help it grip the slick ice.
Giginebura: Not much is know about this monster, except it's closely related to Khezu. However, unlike Khezu, who is bulk and fat, Giginebura is wide and very thin. Can poison you, and detect prey with a special heat sensing organ. It's young are called Gigi whelps.
Lave Serpent: A serpentine like monster that dives in and out of the rock in the volcano. It has a shovel like crest and a dolphin like tail.
Desert Serpent: A enormous monster living in the sand. It have a crocodile like head and mouth mouth with two large tusks. Interestingly enough, it's not a carnivore, but seemingly a very territorial herbivore as it's mouth is lined with huge molar teeth. Seriously, this thing is gigantic, just watch the trailer.
Nabaldeus: An extremely large Elder Dragon that is fought in it's own area, the under water arena. It's white in on it's underside, while it's top is armored with dull green scales. On it's way to the arena it doesn't attack much other than the occasional tail whip, but when it arrives at the arena (which has a Dragonator cannon you can use) it will start attacking with a large beam like breath attack.
Oh yeah, MH3 sold 1 million copies it's first day in Japan, not bad at all. Good news, a US/EU release it happening next march.
